I believe SPJ has options for health insurance, but you have to call them. I get mine through the Freelancer’s Union.
An LLC doesn’t matter for AB5.
There’s an AB5 freelancer group on Facebook. Big battle.
It’s free to join the Freelancers Union. It’s based in NY.
Yes, they have a lot of resources. But most are in NY. Thanks, Susan! I’ll try both Union, and SPJ
Have been fighting AB5 for six months. The legislature recently passed a "fix" that my end the arbitrary 35 article per publication limit, but won't take effect until next year. More importantly, many publications won't hire California writers because they don't want to get sued or fined $25,000"may end"
AB5 could be its own webinar.
Thank you very much
Agreed— we’ll try to set up an AB5 seminar.
Susan are you the one who got PPE as a freelancer?
Can you email me? Michael Goldstein
I applied through BlueVine on a Sunday and had it in my bank account by Thursday. Now, I need to figure out the paperwork for forgiveness.
That’s the problem.
Wonderful guest. THANK YOU!
Did you just use 2019 Schedule C?
Yes. Schedule C. I believe it was whatever was on line 31 of either schedule C or the main tax form. (I forget which.)
I figure I’ll go for forgiveness and pay back whatever is not forgiven.
How much of a cutdid Blue Vine take? I have a couple of banks
Thank you, everyone!
Thanks as usual Diana!
Thanks Susan I will look into it. Thanks all
