Really good panel thus far, and interesting to hear about your respective organisations and the vital work you do.
I do have a question: As panelists from around the world, I am wondering what is the perception of the USA's progress towards being LGBT supportive?
I am an Ally and Mom to an LGBT person and feel that the president sucks and loads of individuals suck, but maybe overall we are headed in the right direction?
I worry for the safety/support for my child...
The idea of school LGBTQ centres is a great one. That's usually where poor perspectives of LGBTQ start, isn't it?
for USA it depends what state and city you are in. the Bay Area(SF/berkeley/ Oakland) in California are more supportive
lgbtq people health problem, depression, anxiety problem are big issue.in this pandemic situation social isolation, depression increasing,,,
I absolutely agree with the points you made, Jorge! We need to think critically about social and political structures in power and how can they abuse current conditions.
michael jones has contacted me about this over mygwork for the corporate i work for - i think its a great idea and i'm keen to understand more once Mosaic launch more details on this :)
Fighting for just causes can be very tough in so-called free societies; in societies that are less so, or unaccepting of such communities as LGBT - power to the elbows of all of you but especially those whose climb is tougher than the average. Hopefully bringing this into a global focus will help you. Keep up the good work, you ARE making a difference!!
Thank you everyone! :)
Thank you to all the panelists!
