Good to hear about how provider onfidence stemming from the inserter design. Clearly innovation and product improvements relate to not only the contraceptive but also to the inserter.

02:21:14
Thank you Mark for your question. As one of the slide suggested, some of the Hormonal IUS sites in Kenya were also part of a new program on group antenatal care, similar to the centering childbirth model in the US, where groups of women at similar gestational stage come together for both the ANC physical check up and a group discussion. This allows for rich discussion of contraception options and timing of starting a method. Also a study we conducted in Ethiopia with Health Extension workers and health centers which emphasize repeated PPFP counseling in ANC until a woman has decided on a voluntary plan for her post-partum contraceptive use including LAM or no method, and whether she will use a facility birth or PNC or immunization visit to access the method of her choice. This was supported by modifications to the IMCH cards that HEWs use to support their care to women along the continuum of care.

02:21:46
The qualitative portion of that study in Ethiopia is published by Yigzaw et al on Gates Open Research
