Does coursework require credit from an institute of higher education? Or is it more broad to include various forms of continuing education (webinars, modules, etc)?

Yes… just a bit more detail as I just checked DORA’s Draft Rules 1.18 - DORA will accept virtual CE and it needs to be provided by an accredited educational institution or nationally or regionally recognized professional organization - and to apply broad definition of offerings from government, school and non-profits that meet the state’s requirements for CE - DORA is still finalizing the Rules on this.

Is online continuing education accepted?

Rule 1.18 doesn’t specify a limit on in-person only CE/CPD and DORA has allowed virtual CE/CPD in the past. We’ve asked for additional clarification in their Rules and their CPD/CPC (CE) Manual to state that virtual IS allowable, but that has been DORA”s interpretation int the past
