The event on your Livestream page tracks the "total views" (includes those who click through to watch, leave, and return). The actual streaming video shows the current number of people actually viewing (or at least having the stream open!).

We went out and purchased a $100 webcam and got up and running in 3 days last week using a laptop as our "encoder" technology --with an app called OBS (listed on their site as an alternative to their encoder)

What’s the difference between “unique viewers” and “views”?

We've found that we really need Ethernet connection to have clean, steady live video. We tried over Wifi initially and it was very poor video quality

Ken -- I think "unique viewers" are individual IP addresses/devices; "views" is how many devices tune in, including people who tune in, leave, and come back (i.e., that would be two "views", one "unique view").
