Feel free to ask questions in the chat.

27:04
Laura- thank you for your thoughts and for all of the work Pelham Together does.

27:52
Please contact Laura at lcaruso@pelhamtogether.org if you have any opportunities to discuss.

28:05
what are some ways to keep younger children engaged in the community or have "meaningful service?"

29:06
Yes please Laura.

29:19
Thank you to the students that created such amazing positive messages for our schools. It was a beautiful way to start the year

29:56
Laura, how can other non profits in Pelham work best with Pelham Together and with other student run organizations like Pelham United?

30:04
We are working to find safe and social ways for

30:11
Students to connects at school

30:21
this year as well

33:44
Susan…I’m happy to talk to anyone or any group that would like to work together on initiatives, including work with Pelham United. There are some ideas that we’re discussing at our upcoming Advisory Board that we could definitely partner on!

35:19
If a question happens to get missed in our discussion, we are working on a document with a complete run down of all questions and answers to distribute to the community

39:35
How have you evolved your programming in light of COVID?

40:24
When you do distributions, do you notice that some items are in higher demand? what are they?

41:47
Will, thank you for all you do! is there a particular kind of support that your constituents wish we they could access? ie help meeting basic needs vs connections for jobs, tutoring, skill building? social options (outdoor movies, etc)?

45:36
Question for William: What is the general age group of the children in your org & what is their greatest need (besides food)?

47:48
Hi William, do you work with Non-Profit Westchester? I would be happy to connect you with Jan Fisher if not.

48:42
Hi William- I am a teacher in Westchester county just set up a virtual tutoring program. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to know our set up.

58:35
at what point should parents bring in external help like a therapist?

01:05:54
I have found Dawn Huebner's workbooks to be incredible.

01:08:39
Excellent tips and guidance! Do you have any best practices for navigating kids' (esp teens) high-intensity emotions - teaching constructive de-escalation vs power struggles?

01:11:30
what advice might you have for parents learning to be gentler/easier on themselves and not beat themselves up for perceived failures?

01:15:15
Do you have any ideas (outside of scheduling more virtual meetings) that could help build a sense of connection between elementary-aged kids who can't or don't see each other in person?

01:17:07
Westcheser County facilitated ACE (Adverse Child Expereince) workshops aligned with racism & microagressions work 2 years ago with a documentary viewing, but I wonder if they would revisit that again now through the lens of the pandemic. It was a very well run program and worth revisiting.
