What measures matter to you? Maybe it's the time saved by having a virtual visit rather than an unnecessary in-person appointment. Maybe it's the total number of days of work missed after your surgery. Maybe it's the time spent away from your family while you were hospitalized. Whatever the measure may be, the good news is, our healthcare partners want to understand what they are!
The patient and family partner role continues to grow in healthcare improvement and now organizations are looking for the patient and family perspective in healthcare measurement.
This interactive skills exchange provides a basic (and fun!) understanding of the measurement lifecycle based on the Blueprint for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) Measure Management System. Participants will be able to find meaningful measures in their everyday lives and apply them to partnership in measurement.
