SNAP Work Requirement Training for Youth Homelessness Service Providers -- La Casa Norte, Humboldt Park
As of January 1, 2020, SNAP recipients who are considered able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs) living in Cook County must adhere to a work requirement in order to remain eligible for SNAP benefits. USDA recently released a rule that could extend this work requirement to nearly all counties in Illinois starting on April 1, 2020.

Join us for a training to learn what the policy does, how it will impact you or your clients, and what you can do to help mitigate the impact. This training will arm you with the tools you need to:
- Identify who falls under the ABAWDs category
- What conditions could make someone eligible for an exemption from the work requirement
- Acceptable activities that comply with the work requirement
- Emergency food resources available to people who might lose SNAP eligibility
- How you can help your clients navigate this policy

This meeting will be conducted in-person at La Casa Norte, 3533 W. North Ave. and recorded via webinar for those who cannot attend in-person.

Jan 24, 2020 10:00 AM in Central Time (US and Canada)
