In this year-long community of connection, featuring a new topic each month, sessions will be built to encourage self-reflection, increase knowledge of MTSS and Community Schools, challenge our thinking about current systems, and offer dedicated time to action planning and Q&A.
Topic: Finding Certainty During Uncertain Times
When we feel lost at sea, it is important to go back to our anchor. We need to connect back to our roots and the things we know to be true. In our first session we briefly began to lay the foundation of some critical features of an MTSS framework. This month, we will dig deeper into what it would look like to do those things well, and what basic supports we can be most certain of this year.
Participants can anticipate leaving with:
1. An even greater understanding of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
2. Examples of what critical features can look like in practice (and considerations during COVID)
3. Specific strategies and examples of supports that will help support students, families, and staff this school year
*The session is from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, which includes a 30 minutes Q&A period.
