The combined practice of meditation and freewriting is a powerful spiritual tool that can help writers and non-writers alike clarify seemingly vague ideas and comprehend the value of their lives with enormous self-compassion; spaciousness; loving inquiry; and an expansive window of welcome for paradox, beauty, and synchronicity.
In this special four-hour-long retreat, we'll be setting some powerful intentions, connecting with the wisdom of the emerging future, and focusing our creativity and contemplation on that which we wish to bring into our lives in the new year.
We will move through four 15–20-minute meditations, ranging from powerful guided visualizations to silent contemplations, that will set the wheels of creativity in motion. After each meditation, participants will be offered a writing prompt that allows our inherent creativity to emerge from our in-the-moment experience. The majority of our time together will be for meditation instruction and writing, but there will be check-ins and opportunities throughout to share our experience and writing. We won't be taking any formal breaks, but I encourage you to take care of yourself in whatever way you need to throughout the duration of our time together.
What to bring: A pen, a journal, a comfortable area to sit or lie down, and a spirit of gentle curiosity
I will begin and end this session on time. You are welcome to come and stay for part of the retreat or all of the retreat, but please note that if you find yourself in the waiting room for a long time, it may be that we are in the middle of a meditation.
I welcome and appreciate your donations. Suggested contribution for this offering is $25–100 and can be made via Venmo @Nirmala-Nataraj or PayPal (email@example.com). If you are unable to make an offering, please show up anyway. Your presence in and of itself is a generous gift.
