On the wall of Fred Rogers' office hung a quote from his favorite book, The Little Prince. It read, "What is essential is invisible to the eye." As we embark on new learning and growing during uncertain times, what is essential about this time very well may be invisible to the eye. During this session, we will discuss Fred Rogers' approach to "virtual learning" over 30+ years of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and how his deep commitment to the needs of children and families, far from the spotlight of television, made him so effective and special through a screen. We will think together and discuss what is essential during these times, and how we can support one another to learn and grow.
