This week we are excited to share with you two great wines from our very own local vintners Lee and Helen Williams of Golden Star Winery. This Thursday we will be exploring two grapes grown here in the Antelope Valley. The Viognier from Chavez Vineyard in Rosemond, CA and the Tempranillo grown on the Golden Star Estate, Little Rock, CA. The 2017 Viognier is an unusual style where the Winemaker, Lee, decided to bottle the wine without filtering or fining. The 2017 Tempranillo is a warm weather loving grape that is inky and moderately tannic. They are opposite from each other in style and flavor profile but both of these unique wines are very food friendly. Come and explore fruit from our very own Antelope Valley while supporting local winemakers Lee and Helen, as we taste, talk, learn, and discover what greatness the AV has to offer.
