Moving Beyond Land Acknowledgements: Upholding Responsibilities to Truth and Reconciliation Without Appropriation

Indigenous communities have successfully practiced sustainability and environmental stewardship since time immemorial. After the decimation of Indigenous culture and knowledge, how can non-Indigenous educators uphold their responsibilities to Truth and Reconciliation, uplifting Indigenous voices and creators, without appropriation? Jade Harvey-Berrill from the Outdoor Learning Store and Haley Higdon from Natural Curiosity will share their experiences of relationship building with Indigenous mentors, lessons (continually) learned and available resources.
