As part of the Telehealth Immersion Program, the AMA will host a mini-bootcamp to wrap up Telehealth Awareness Week and provide an opportunity for participants to do deep-dive break-out sessions across various medical specialties. This event is designed to engage various stakeholders to support long-term sustainable Telehealth programs across the industry.
A. Welcome & Telehealth Awareness Week Recap (~15 mins)
Speaker: Joseph Kvedar, MD, Chair Board of Directors, ATA
Description: An overview recapping the weeks’ events, brief comments about the impact telehealth has had over the last 1.5 years and thoughts on the future of virtual care.
B. Panel discussion: Health at Home Models and Strategies (~45 minutes)
Description: This discussion will explore health at home strategies that are leveraging telehealth and digital health technologies to expand care outside of the health system and into the patient home. We’ll bring together the diverse perspectives of physicians, operational leaders, patients and vendors to share best practices, what’s working well, and what the opportunities are that will impact health at home care delivery in the future.
C. Telehealth across medical specialties Break-out Sessions (~45 minutes) & Report out (~30 minutes)
Description: 2-3 medical specialties will host break-out rooms to explore the ways telehealth is creating value in their environments/specialties. There will also be one breakout room as a follow up to the panel discussion.
D. Wrap-up/Closing - AMA
