Building an Awareness of Emerging Technologies in grades 6-8

"Are you an educator of grades 1-8 looking for support with the new expectations related to emerging technologies in the revised Science and Technology curriculum?
In this session, Lisa Anne Floyd will share a cross-strand approach for connecting to Strand A: STEM Skills and Connections through exploring and building awareness of exciting and innovative emerging technologies. Links to suggested resources, assignments, and assessments for developing students’ understanding of emerging technologies within the fields of Science and Technology and beyond will be provided. Ideas for connecting to the Scientific Research Process will also be highlighted.
Recommended Experience/Grade Level:
No prior experience required. This session will focus on grades 6-8, with a few ideas for educators in grades 1-5.
