Mindfulness is the capacity to focus on one’s awareness on the present moment, while acknowledging one’s feelings, thoughts, and body without reaction or judgment. Mindfulness is learning and choosing to turn your attention away from the everyday conversation of the mind and on to what your body is doing and feeling. Some of the major benefits of mindfulness are compassion, attention, emotional regulation, and calming.
