Through community, we ground ourselves to affirm our visibility, humanity, and worth.
Through simple practices of presence, breathing, and group check-in, Feminist Grounding is a healing circle that gathers OPAWL members (Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander women and non-binary folx) each month to discuss the parts of our lives that are in most need of visibility. The overarching theme for Feminist Grounding in 2021 will explore the question: What does healing look like for AAPI bodies?

We are committed to making our events accessible to Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members, and can provide ASL interpretation when requested in advance. Please send any accessibility needs or other questions to email@example.com!
Note: We define "AAPI" as including those of South Asian, Southeast Asian, East Asian, Central Asian, West Asian (Middle Eastern), Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian descent, regardless of immigration status and inclusive of mixed race individuals and transracial adoptees.
