Oral health can play a critical role in systemic health. Integration of oral health and primary care practice is a strategy to increase access to oral health care. The National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) is the HRSA oral health National Training and Technical Assistance Partner. NNOHA will share the framework for integration of oral health, primary care practice, and behavioral health. This webinar will also describe the importance of medical and dental integration to promote whole-person care. Finally, the webinar will feature the University of Wyoming health center to share how they've utilized primary care providers for oral health activities.
Webinar 2: Whole Person Care: Oral Health and Diabetes

The relationship between diabetes and oral health is an example of how oral health and general health are interrelated. The mouth is the window to the body and you cannot have good health with an unhealthy mouth. This session will review the clinical relationship between diabetes and oral health and action steps primary care providers can take to assess, evaluate and manage the impact of oral health status on an individual’s diabetes.
