Enhancing Research-to-Practice for Youth Safety in Agriculture
Please join the High Plains Intermountain Center for Agricultural Health and Safety (HICAHS) and the National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety (NCCRAHS) for a virtual engaged scholarship discussion. This panel discussion will focus on the past successes, remaining challenges, and key partnerships needed to improve the safety of youth working in agriculture. Following the panel discussion, we will use breakout rooms to move towards collaboration and action.

Panelists include:

- Dr. Dee Jepsen, State Agricultural Safety and Health Leader, Associate Professor, Ohio State University
- Sam Lowry, 4-H Youth Development Specialist, Animal Sciences & Shooting Sports, Colorado State University Extension
- Dr. Michael Pate, Associate Professor, Applied Sciences, Technology, and Education, Utah State University
- Dr. Marsha Salzwedel, Project Scientist, National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety/National Farm Medicine Center

The panel will be moderated by Dr. Lorann Stallones, Deputy Director, High Plains Intermountain Center for Agricultural Health and Safety, Professor, Colorado State University.
