City of Richmond’s Procurement of Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Services – Present and Future

The Iranian Engineers of BC Association (IEBCA) would like to invite you to join us in an informative webinar presentation by Mr. Jim Young, P.Eng., Director of Facilities and Project Development in City of Richmond.

This presentation provides an overview of City of Richmond’s approach to the procurement of Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) services. After providing an overview of the procurement strategies and processes for AEC services, the Minoru Centre for Active Living project is used as an example of a recent large project to illustrate how the overall procurement process is implemented in a project. Next, the presentation zooms out and provides a listing of major facilities projects in progress. Then, the City’s Work Plan for the year 2021 and beyond for Facilities and Project Development is elaborated. Finally, a Question-and-Answer session will provide an opportunity to the audience to pose their question to the speaker.
