Class Description: This course continues with the basic concepts and skills in Microsoft Excel 2016, then builds on these to provide more advanced tools to solve real-world problems and analyze and present complex, realistic data. You will benefit most from this course if you want to use Microsoft Excel 2016 to perform real-world tasks, such as rearranging and presenting complex data, getting information from large amounts of data from sources inside and outside of Excel, creating output that varies according to conditions, manipulating dates and text, and automating repetitive tasks.
Prerequisites: The course assumes you know how to use a computer, and that you are familiar with Microsoft Windows. It does not assume that you have used a different version of Excel or another spreadsheet program before.
Requirement: Access to Microsoft Excel 2016 or 2019 (or Office 2016 or 2019) desktop version.
Note – Office 365 will not be used for this course. The features we will use in this course are not available in Office 365 and the user interface differs. Free trial and monthly subscription are available at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/get-started-with-office-2019.
