When: Saturday, 7/11 from 2-4pm EST
Skill level: Beginner
Calling all wannabe embroiderists: this beginners workshop is for you! In this class, we’ll learn three fun and useful stitches: back stitch, French knots, and lazy daisies. We’ll start by focusing on back stitch, a simple running stitch, to embroider letters, words, and simple line drawings onto fabric. Then add some sweet flair by adding an embroidered “lazy” daisy to our design, finishing with French knots to dot our i’s and create our flower centers!
Here’s what we’ll be covering:
Setting up for embroidery, including working with fabri-solvy to create your design
French knots for dotting i’s & j’s
Here’s what you’ll need:
Item to embroider, such as a t-shirt, sweatshirt, bandana, jeans, denim jacket, etc!
Omegacryl or embroidery floss
Needle threader (optional)
Design idea - if embroidering a design rather than words, I recommend printing out the design in advance
Pencil & eraser
