Human Trafficking: Healthcare & Social Services Awareness Session

Did you know that many major industries intersect with Human Trafficking? For many legitimate organizations and professionals, this can be completely accidental and unknown. However, it does put people within those industries in a unique position to see and report incidents of Human Trafficking.
In this session, we focus on Health Care & Social Services. Up to 88% of Trafficked Individuals have accessed some form of Health Care during their time being trafficked. This session will have general information about Human Trafficking and its warning signs, but also Industry specific signs and recommendations for the prevention, recognition, and safe intervention of Human Trafficking that may be of particular interest to Nurses, Physicians, Medical Support Staff and Technicians, and Social Workers.
