Zentangles®, the Basics This type of practice creates structured designs on paper with ink. It enhances relaxation yet promotes focus. Appearing to be similar to doodling, Zentangles® are designed (and proven) to slow down racing thoughts and promote a meditative state while the hand moves across the page. Participants will learn at least 7 shapes which may be combined to make their own designs. These may be included in a journal or can be done independently.

Suggested Materials: Micron pen (0.5) or a Sharpie extra-fine gel pen of another width, white sketch or watercolor paper, standard no 2 pencil, a ruler (optional).
