The Infinite Field Spring Equinox Retreat: In Celebration of the Sacred Fool
In this special four-hour-long virtual retreat, we'll celebrate the balance of light and darkness and the movement into springtime by engaging with the archetype of the Fool.

The Fool is a powerful archetype because it is arguably the most human one. Despite its poor reputation, the Fool is quite balanced and well-adjusted, and typically values intelligence above everything else, as they are able to engage with paradox. The result of this is that the Fool can often stumble into great wisdom because their journey forces them to come to peace with their desires and the nature of the world.

The Fool symbolizes the power of crazy wisdom. They provide truth, balance, play, recreation, destruction, creation, and change. The Fool, also known as the trickster, is a crosser of boundaries, as they cross and often break both physical and societal rules. The Fool knows that change does not come from obeying rules. The Sacred Fool is the destroyer of our well-ordered world, run by foolish fools. It is by change that we are made new. We are all phoenixes, capable of rising out of the ashes, if we follow the guidance of the Fool.

In this retreat, we will move through four 15–20-minute guided meditations that will set the wheels of creativity in motion. After each meditation, participants will be offered a writing prompt that allows our inherent creativity to emerge from our in-the-moment experience—and that allows the wisdom of your own Sacred Fool to naturally arise.

The majority of our time together will be for meditation instruction and writing, but there will be check-ins and opportunities throughout to share our experiences and writing. We won't be taking any formal breaks, but I encourage you to care for yourself in whatever way you need throughout our time together.

Who is welcome: Anyone and everyone who is interested in liberation through writing and meditation practice (this will be a mixed group).
