YMCA Community Café: Our Transitions – Our Wellness, Part 1
YMCA Community Cafés bring together those who are 55+ to build health in spirit, mind, and body so that no one is stuck and alone but rather thriving during this pandemic season with greater purpose.

You can expect to experience a brief (15-20 minute) topical introduction with ideas to frame discussion and perhaps consider things in new ways. This will be followed by small group facilitated discussions -- wherein you will have opportunity to share experiences and perspectives or simply listen to your peers as you feel comfortable. The way you participate is always up to you. Following the small group discussions, we will come back together for an empowering full group wrap up with relevant resource sharing and a look ahead to the next session.

Our next series is titled: The Third Third: Living and Shaping Our Legacy.

COVID has caused many of us to reflect on how our life plans may have changed and what the trajectory of our lives will look like. Consider the discussion of the third third as an opportunity to explore what's next.

Who do you intend to be in your third act of your life? How could we think about the numerous transitions, challenges and opportunities in this season of life? Discover and envision our legacy. Come encourage others and be encouraged by one another, as we all learn to live into and leave behind our legacy for the generations to come.

In the next nine-week series we will
• Uncover and define values within our stories
• Identify the legacy we desire to live into and leave behind
• Learn to transition intentionally and gracefully
• Invest in the next generations
• Foster a community of interdependence

This week’s café is titled: Our Transitions – Our Wellness: Learning to Transition Realistically, Intentionally and Gracefully.
