All SRNAs are invited to join in an open and judgement-free online peer to peer support session. This forum offers an opportunity to meet fellow SRNAs nationwide, to share in this safe space your feelings and emotions related to the SRNA experience, talk about COVID-19 disruptions, give and take hope, and destress between didactic learning and/or clinical shifts. Know you are not alone. Topics will be conceived and lead by student representatives from the AANA Health & Wellness and Peer Assistance Advisors committees, and an Indiana Professionals Recovery Program (IPRP) mental health clinicians will be present.
This supportive peer group will not engage in psychological or healthcare advice, diagnosis, treatment or recommendations for any individual or situation. If feelings or symptoms affect your ability to function, please seek services from licensed mental health professionals. Visit aana.com/askforhelp for info on the when, where and how for mental health needs.
Speak to your own experience. Remember these conversations are not confidential, but intended in the spirit of creating a safe space for open dialogue. Please honor and respect the privacy of all individuals and do not share identifiable information about others. Please comply at all times with the HIPAA Privacy Rule and related laws. These groups are not recorded. Because this forum doesn’t have a gatekeeper, please be aware individuals other than SRNAs may be present. This is not stated to inhibit open sharing of feelings and experiences, which is encouraged, but to be aware of the surroundings.
Your registration indicates your understanding and agreement with the nature of this AANA/STF group. Additionally by registering, you acknowledge you may receive email communications, such as survey for feedback and ideas or notice of upcoming groups.
