Cooperation Buffalo Co-op Jumpstart
Join Cooperation Buffalo and the Small Business Development Center at Buffalo State College for our upcoming webinar, Worker Co-op Jumpstart! As we all continue to navigate the changes and challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, Cooperation Buffalo sees that we have a unique opportunity to reimagine and reinvent our economic future.

On Saturday May 14 from 1-5pm, come find out what a worker co-op is, why co-ops are crucial to building the world we want, and how you can be a part of strengthening Buffalo’s growing co-op community.

Our half-day workshop will dive into these topics:
Why economic democracy, and why now?
What is a cooperative, and how do they get started?
Democracy at work: skills and best practices for working in teams
Business and finance basics: how to get money for your co-op, build a business plan, and become sustainable

Whether you’re looking to start a co-op from scratch, you want to convert an existing business to worker-ownership, you are already a co-op member and want to brush up on your skills, or you just want to learn more about how we can ditch capitalism and build economic democracy, this event is for you! All are welcome to attend this free virtual event.
