WNC Digital Inclusion Planning Summit

The importance digital inclusion has never more important at creating equity among our community. Whether it is the need for broadband access at your home, a device to do homework on, or affordability of these resources 2020 has shown us how critical digital inclusion is to moving our region forward. As a response to this need Land of Sky Regional Council was awarded a BAND-NC grant to create digital inclusion plans for each of their counties. This is the kick off event for those plans!


Amy Huffman, from NC DIT will share information on lessons learned in creating a digital inclusion plan.

Maggie Woods, from Institute of Emerging Issues, will discuss digital inclusion trends and opportunities across the state and information about the BAND-NC program.

At this event we will have commissioners from Henderson, Madison, Buncombe, and Transylvania County share the importance of digital inclusion in their community.

At this event we will have breakout rooms to start to create these plans for the county you work in, so please share this information with others in the community who need to join us!
