On January 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM the Toronto & York Region, Oshawa & Durham Region, and Credit River Métis Councils will sign their Regional Implementation Agreement (RIA) making a significant step toward realizing fully recognized Self Government for the Métis in Ontario. We invite our citizens and their families to join in celebration with us to mark this occasion. We will gather at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, sign the RIA, share lunch together, and then have time to enjoy the Science Centre each at our own pace. We are also offering the option of attending virtually using Zoom to include all our citizens who may not be able to attend in person. If transportation to Toronto is a barrier, we are providing the option to be picked up and dropped off by a coach bus. If you are interested in this option, please note it in your registration. The Durham Region pickup location will be Whitby Mall at 10:15 AM(1615 Dundas St E); any number of other centralized pickup locations will be determined based on requests. Transportation will depart from the Science Center at 3:30pm. Parking is also available at the Science Centre for a cost of $12 Entrance to the Ontario Science Centre exhibitions is free for Indigenous people, so you will receive your complementary tickets when you meet us and confirm that you have registered to attend using the form below (no ID required).
