BodyStories has been created specifically for people with brain injuries, their caregivers and family. The goal of this series of BodyStories is to deepen participant’s understanding and relationship with their bodies while expressing themselves through movement. Classes include a variety of exercises and movement explorations that will focus on proprioceptor skills, balance, kinesthetic awareness and fun! Participants can take class with their videos on or off and join in or opt out at any point. The class is designed so participants can alter and adapt any of the material to fit the space, needs, ability or level of the mover. Tom Truss has been teaching dance and creating work with special populations for over 30 years. He has worked with people in prison, nursing homes, older adults and children, with medical professionals, immigrant populations, teachers, firefighters, people with visual impairments and different abilities to name a few. This is his third series of classes with BIA-MA.
