The US-Japan Alliance: What It Is and What It Does
The United States and Japan have a unique relationship which is supported by a multifaceted and wide-reaching formal alliance. Ms. Chanlett-Avery, Specialist in Asian Affairs at the Congressional Research Service, will provide an introductory overview of this alliance, going into the forms that it takes and the joint efforts of its components.
