I Have Always Been Me Virtual Conversation with Precious Brady-Davis!
Join us on Thursday, July 29th at 6:30pm for Precious Brady-Davis in conversation with community activist Mona Noriega.

Precious Brady-Davis is an award-winning diversity advocate, communications professional, and public speaker. She served for three years as the assistant director of diversity recruitment initiatives at Columbia College Chicago, her alma mater, implementing the campus-wide diversity initiative and providing leadership and oversight of national diversity recruitment and inclusion policy initiatives. She also served as the youth outreach coordinator at Center on Halsted, the largest LGBTQ community center in the Midwest. During Precious’s tenure, she launched a $1.6 million CDC HIV prevention grant, which provided outreach, education, youth programming, and testing services to over three thousand young African American and Latinx gay, bi, and trans youth.

Precious is married to Myles Brady and lives in Hyde Park on the South Side of Chicago, where they are raising their daughter, Zayn. In her free time, she enjoys online shoe shopping, travel, and fine dining with friends. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ME is her first book.

A seasoned community activist, Mona Noriega was recently appointed by Governor Pritzker to serve as the Chair of the Illinois Commission on Human Rights. Prior to serving for the State of Illinois Noriega had been appointed by Mayor Emanuel in 2011 and retained by Mayor Lightfoot in 2019 to serve as the Commissioner and Board Chair of the City of Chicago’s Commission on Human Relations. Civil rights protections under Noriega’s guidance were expanded under the City of Chicago’s anti-discrimination ordinances to include credit history and military status as protected categories and to include protections for gender non-conforming individuals when accessing public spaces that are private in nature.
