This workshop will teach you the basics of turning memory fragments into polished stories that others will want to read and remember. You will learn about the writing process and story elements like structure, beginnings and endings, and plot. Each class will feature a short introductory presentation before members take turns sharing portions of stories they wrote during the intervening week and offering short feedback on what worked well in each story and what they’d like to know more about. By the end of the workshop you’ll be prepared to continue writing on your own. The workshop will be led by Sharon Lippincott, a veteran writing instructor and editor.
