The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the Diaspora Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries and the Uganda Agribusiness Alliance, will host the Ugandan Diaspora Agri-Food Investment Conference. The conference will be held via Zoom for registered participants, internationally and physically at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Kampala, Uganda.
The conference offers a platform for the Ugandan diaspora to share information about their investments, pitch initiatives, and reflect on the current state of diaspora investments in the Ugandan agri-food industry. The Conference also offers an opportunity for the Ugandan diaspora to engage with agricultural and migration stakeholders, as well as the private sector. In addition, three successful Diaspora agripreneurs, selected through a Call for proposals, will be officially recognized and awarded at the end of the conference.
