Many of us older folks did not have Social Media when we were in Graduate school. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, Zoom did not exist. This past year because of the “Pandemic” we have had to learn to use at least some of these tools. So, has using these tools changed our ethical behaviors/dilemmas?
This training will look at how we can work with clients using zoom, social media and stay within our code of ethics. The following are the learning objectives for this training:
o Why we have a code of ethics?
o Look at the Behavioral Health Ethical Code that apply to “virtual interactions”
o Discuss the challenges and solutions
o Explain two issues regulated by applicable ethical codes and two issues regulated by
the government regarding the use of telemental health.
