Strong Families Presents "Parenting School-Age Kids Exposed in Utero"
Often we read in a file that prenatal exposure happened or was possible, but what do we do with that information? Kids exposed are often labeled as troubled kids, but what if we could peel back that label and find ways that we can better support that child? What if it created outcomes we only dreamed would be possible? During this training we will break down what is different about the brain for children exposed prenatally and what we can change about our support to start seeing successes.

Aubrey Page is an educator, consultant, advocate, and parent coach. After learning that an estimated 5% of all kids have a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, she started advocating for the millions of children with the symptoms and educating others about the disability that is 2.5x as common as Autism. In November of 2020, she started The Change Starts Here Collaborative to provide resources and training to parents and professionals working with children of any brain-based disability by partnering with other amazing advocates. Her lived experience as a foster parent of many kids with neurodiversity brings a unique perspective to her trainings.
