NEA and NEA-NH share a vision of great public schools for every student. As a brief introduction to the powerful NEA Just Schools mission and curriculum, participants will examine equity and reflect on how their own experiences, actions or privilege may impact learning environments. Materials and opportunities for action to create more equitable and just schools will also be provided.
Presenter: Lisa Dillingham is the President of the Dover Teachers’ Union and teaches 6th grade science at Dover Middle School.
Misty Crompton is a Grade 7 Social Studies Teacher / Team Leader, Membership Chair/Treasurer of the Derry EA and current recipient of Christa McAuliffe Sabbatical for Promoting Just Schools.
Jan Santosuosso is a Special Educator, Director of the Epsom SOAR Program and Chair of the Capital Region for NEA-NH.
Terry Burlingame is a K-8 Spanish and ESL Teacher, Co-President of the Gilmanton EA, National NEA ESP Committee Member, Local Chair Co-President Mentoring and the NEA Director for New Hampshire. All four presenters serve on the Human and Civil Rights Committee as well as the NEA Leaders for Just Schools Committee.
