Intrepid Book Club: Bloods
Join fellow veterans, service members and military family members at the Intrepid Museum or online for a lively book discussion! The Intrepid Book Club meets quarterly for a two-hour facilitated discussion with an introduction related to the Museum’s collection and crew. Books are a mix of fiction and nonfiction, all related to military or military family experiences. Copies of the books are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Intrepid Book Club is free to attend for all current and former service members and their families, spouses and partners, with advanced registration. For more information or to request a copy of the book, please contact access@intrepidmuseum.org.

At this virtual meeting, we will be discussing the classic Bloods: Black Veterans of the Vietnam War: An Oral History by Wallace Terry. This collection of oral histories tells the stories of Black veterans as they fought in Vietnam for their country and also at home for their civil rights.

Veterans Programs are made possible by public funds facilitated by the Councilman Chaim Deutsch, Chair of the Committee on Veterans, in partnership with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. These programs are also supported by the Craig Newmark Philanthropic Fund.
