See you in court! Yemen-linked arms export litigation and its implications for the ATT
Since the entry-into-force of the ATT an increasing number of challenges to arms transfers are ending up in court the world over. The most dense and diverse cross-section of such cases and ongoing proceedings focuses on arms supplies that are at risk of being used in the Yemen war.

The Global Legal Action Network, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the International Commission of Jurists and Saferworld have great pleasure in inviting you to the launch of ‘Domestic accountability for arms transfers: Law, policy and practice’, an ATT Expert Group report which looks in detail into this developing trend to challenge arms transfer decisions through the courts.

The panel, by Zoom meeting, will examine whether the ATT’s very existence encourages the pursuit of legal remedies, what forms these have taken or could take, and the implications of such challenges, past and future, for the Treaty’s implementation.
