Join us on April 29 from noon to 1 pm for a discussion on concerns related to infrastructure in Edmonton, and what the mayor and councillors to be elected this fall can and should do about them.
Host Chris Chang-Yen Phillips will tee up the conversation with a special guest. Then we’ll invite you to join in a deeper discussion of the issues.
This is the last in a series of conversations prompted by the People’s Agenda, a document we are compiling based on the responses to this question: What key issue do you want the candidates to talk about as they compete for votes in the 2021 municipal election, and why?
A number of responses sent in by readers so far have coalesced around concerns about whether we will build our city intelligently. You've told us you want to know what candidates think about various infrastructure-related issues. Many have concerns about projects being late and over-budget; others are concerned about the costs of urban sprawl.
The people want to feel heard.
Closed captioning will be available. Taproot will cover the events, but we will not quote you by name without your permission.
Candidates are welcome, but please take the opportunity to listen rather than to campaign.
