Holding Space for Self: Prioritizing Clinician Self-Care through Somatic Techniques
Are you feeling on the edge or in the midst of burnout? As therapists, we hold space for so many and often neglect to replenish ourselves. 2020 was A LOT to navigate and while 2021 offers many glimmers of hope, for some therapists the hits keep coming...and coming.
In the midst of caring for clients who are navigating all of the new normal, it can be easy to lose sight of ourselves—which can place us at risk for overwhelm and burnout.
Clinician burnout is frequently caused by role overload, setting unrealistic expectations, and neglecting necessary self-care practices. The cost of burnout in our profession is high. And self-care is an ethical and professional imperative. It’s time to tap back into our bodies and discover what you might be needing. On Friday May 7th at 12 noon, please join Dr. Chinwé Williams who will guide us as we pause, reset, and replenish with somatic self-care techniques. This isn't a workshop nor a seminar; this is an experience. Registration via ZOOM for 1.0 CE Credit is FREE.
