About Our Speaker:
After a few years in the field of palliative care and bereavement counselling in England, Nadine joined Hospice Calgary (Alberta, Canada) in 2008 as a Child & Family Counsellor. Nadine is the Director of the Children's Grief Centre where she leads a team of mental health professionals who provide counselling and support to grieving children, adolescents and families. Committed to building capacity for better supports for grieving families, she offers training to health and mental health care professionals, schools, police and victims services, and a guest lecturer at universities. Nadine is an active contributor to the development of grief services, guidelines, and tools at the local, provincial and national level, including a leadership role in the creation of the Canadian Alliance for Grieving Children & Youth.
Nadine has a BA Psychology from McGill University, a MA Child Study from Concordia University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy from Roehampton University, London, UK.
