Join us as we highlight promising practices and considerations for lifting up the needs, interests, and assets of our youngest stakeholders. Participants will connect and brainstorm with colleagues, and hear directly from students and staff that developed an innovative project to engage the community in their journey toward racial justice and social equity.
In this 2-part workshop, participants will:
1. Think deeply about innovative ways to bring community stakeholders and staff together to pursue equity.
2. Discuss the importance of incorporating strategies to center youth voice in programs and spaces.
3. Identify opportunities for student collaboration and action steps to implement in programs and schools.
Participants are encouraged but not required to attend on both dates. However, participants seeking Social Work Contact Hours must be present for both sessions. (3 hours available)
