During this virtual lyric/poetry writing workshop, participants will learn from amazing emcee, artist, and educator Ruth Henry, engaging in a series of interactive activities designed to help us collectively explore new ways to weave words together across rhythms. We will create a word map around the theme of justice, offering space for each participant to reflect on and express what justice means to them. Next, we will use this word map as a guide in breakout rooms to begin responding to group writing prompts. Finally, we will come back together to share what we have created.
