DATE: Thursday, 20 October 2022
TIME: 7pm to 8.30pm

Course overview
This workshop will begin with an introduction to interpersonal
neurobiology and the science behind relationships- how we are wired for
relationship, why we work best when we feel connected and the
fundamental need we have for belonging.
It will then describe the benefits of using relationship to foster co-
operation in the primary school classroom. Clear examples of how relationships impact on co-operation will be given and linked to research.
Next the challenges to fostering relationships in the classroom will be
discussed and the facilitator will trouble shoot perceived limitations.
Following this, the facilitator will outline a number of quick, easy and
inexpensive ways that teachers can build relationships, connection and co-operation with young children. These will be playful, interactive and child-centred.
Opportunity for questions and answers will be provided.
