Join J Street's Young Leadership Ad Corps for a discussion with actor, photojournalist and activist Gili Getz about our role in shaping the conversation on Israel and Palestine in our community, culture and politics.
Gili served as a military photographer for the IDF and as a news editor for Ynet. His work in recent years has been focusing on American Jewish political activism and he is published regularly in Jewish and Israeli press, and by Princeton University in the book "Trouble in the Tribe: The American Jewish Conflict over Israel" by Professor Dov Waxman.
For the last four years Gili has performed his play The Forbidden Conversation in Jewish spaces across the country. The play premiered at the Center For Jewish History in the spring of 2016 and deals with the difficulty of talking about Israel within the American Jewish community.
Join us in conversation about his latest photo essay: Loving Israel with all of my Jewishness published by T'ruah.
