If we were in San Lucas together, we would be spending time connecting in the Biblioteca over a good (great!) cup of coffee. Why not chat over Zoom instead? For those of you who have been missing our friends at the Mission during this time when we haven't been able to travel, or for anyone who's just interested in meeting some of the Mission's employees, this is a great way to spend part of your morning! Through the Coffee Hour virtual event series, we will informally connect Mission staff and Friends of San Lucas supporters on a monthly basis for storytelling, Q&A, and conversation.
Last month we met some mothers who work for the Mission and in June, the month when we celebrate Father's Day, we'll be inviting some fathers to join us for coffee hour. We've invited three Mission employees to join our conversation and share their experience as fathers and what being a father means to them: Felipe Baján from the Mission school, Estuardo (Guayo) Chiroy with the construction program, and Gerardo Xinic Ben with the Women's Center.
