Coachella Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP), Stakeholder Workshop #2: Preview of the Future Water Supply Plan

In this educational workshop, the project team will present a summary of the community input provided in workshop #1 and the community engagement board, and how this input was used to inform the plan. Next, the team will present the recommended future water portfolios and the community’s adaptive management plan—their roadmap to keep the water supply resilient and reliable against future shocks and stresses. The project team will look at a variety of future scenarios (such as climate change, extended drought, population growth, and regulatory changes) to show how the recommended portfolio will perform. Next, we will facilitate an open conversation to give voice to any remaining questions or concerns regarding the recommended portfolio. The input collected during this workshop will be summarized and used to inform the final UWMP. The draft UWMP will be opened for public comment following this workshop in April 2020.
