Summer Theater Series: Shakespeare in Performance
Shakespeare's plays have been performed for 400 years and continually transformed by actors, directors and diverse communities who make them their own. As New York City comes back from COVID, our first session in this new series will highlight the astonishing history of Shakespeare performances in NYC. The following sessions will focus on the stagings of three plays – The Taming of the Shrew, Julius Caesar and Much Ado About Nothing, which all had seminal performances at New York’s Shakespeare in the Park, along with other legendary productions. Join us for one session or all!  Led by Cecilia Rubino, New School Professor and Director, Remembering Shakespeare
